On Saturday, 14th June, members of our team joined forces with environmental NGO Coast is Clear for a beach clean-up initiative at Ghar Ahmar Bay in southern Malta. This collaborative effort brought together volunteers from across the company who were eager to contribute to a cleaner, healthier coastline.
Equipped with gloves, garbage bags, and a strong sense of purpose, the team spent the morning collecting plastic waste, bottles, and other debris from the bay’s shoreline, rocky paths, and surrounding areas. Thanks to everyone’s hard work and dedication, we were able to fill over 12 large bags of waste—leaving the area significantly cleaner than we found it.
The initiative was both physically demanding and deeply rewarding. Energised by teamwork, good spirits, and a few well-earned snacks, our colleagues demonstrated what’s possible when we unite around a shared cause.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Coast is Clear for their vital logistical support, provision of equipment, and on-the-ground coordination. In recognition of their ongoing work to protect Malta’s natural environment, we are pleased to support their mission with a €350 donation.
A special thank you also goes to Kevin, Zorana, and Claire from our Social Committee for organising the event, and to all those who gave up their Saturday morning to take part. This clean-up serves as a meaningful reminder of the positive impact we can achieve together.
