ADVICE Demo Lab at FITA

Following meetings with ADVICE and FITA,

Mr. Martin Mercieca, CEO at Class Optical Group has presented a donation for the purchase of equipment which will benefit persons with low vision and the blind.

Mr. Mercieca said that as part of their CSR efforts, they want more and more individuals to learn about the potential benefits of technology.



Mr Joseph Cauchi, President of ADVICE, thanked Mr. Mercieca for their much needed contribution. “Through collaboration with FITA’s consultancy services, now not only can try different products, but can also get assistance in using these products to best effect.” concluded Mr. Cauchi.

The trial of demo equipment is managed by FITA in collaboration with ADVICE and local service providers. It is run on a non-commercial basis, allowing anyone to try out and compare different technology products before they consider buying them. Service users include not only persons with disability, but educators, health professionals and employers who are researching the pros and cons of different solutions. Should visitors find a specific product useful, they are provided with the all the information they need in order to purchase it directly from the supplier.
