Class Optical Group Achieves Mental Health First Aid Skilled Workplace Certification

Class Optical Group is proud to announce that it has officially been recognised as a Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Skilled Workplace by Richmond Foundation.

This certification reflects the Group’s ongoing commitment to employee wellbeing, mental health awareness, and the creation of a supportive and responsible workplace culture across all companies within the organisation.

Over the past months, a group of employees from different departments and entities within Class Optical Group successfully completed the internationally recognised Mental Health First Aid training programme delivered through Richmond Foundation. The programme equips participants with practical skills to identify, understand, and respond to signs of mental health challenges in the workplace and beyond.

The MHFA Skilled Workplace recognition is awarded to organisations that actively invest in mental health education and demonstrate a commitment to fostering psychologically safer working environments.

“At Class Optical Group, we strongly believe that employee wellbeing goes beyond physical health alone,” said Jonas Schrader, Head of Human Resources at Class Optical Group. “Creating awareness around mental health, reducing stigma, and ensuring that our people feel supported is an important part of building a healthy and sustainable workplace culture. We are proud to receive this recognition and grateful to Richmond Foundation for their support throughout the process.”

The Group also thanked the employees who participated in the training sessions and contributed towards achieving the certification.

Class Optical Group also maintains an ongoing commitment and working relationship with Richmond Foundation through the Richmond Healthy Minds Programme. Through this initiative, employees across the Group have access to confidential and anonymous professional support services, including counselling, therapy, and mental wellbeing assistance delivered directly by qualified professionals at Richmond Foundation. The programme is designed to ensure that employees have access to support whenever it may be needed, both personally and professionally.

As part of this initiative, Class Optical Group will continue working towards strengthening internal wellbeing initiatives, encouraging open conversations around mental health, and ensuring employees have access to support and resources when needed.

Class Optical Group remains committed to investing in its people and creating workplaces where employees can thrive both professionally and personally.
