Class Optical Family Hike

A walk through Buskett Gardens is always special, and our recent group outing was no exception.

Set against the backdrop of spring, the trails were rich with colour and detail. Maltese orchids were in full bloom, adding a distinctive beauty to the landscape, while the surrounding environment offered a unique opportunity to appreciate Malta’s natural and historical heritage. Highlights included a visit to an impressive cave complex and the striking cart ruts etched into the limestone, both serving as reminders of the island’s long and layered history.

What made the experience particularly memorable, however, was the people. It was great to see colleagues come together outside of the workplace, sharing the experience and enjoying the setting. A special mention also goes to our youngest guide, nine-year-old Matthew, whose knowledge of local wildlife, plants, and history left a strong impression on everyone.

The event was a great success and a reminder of the value of these informal gatherings. We hope to organise similar activities in the future and would encourage even more colleagues to join next time.

The day concluded with a well-earned ftira, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and reflect after the walk.
